we stopped at a few churches along the way and took pictures, whenever there was a register…. i wrote greetings to other brothers and sisters in Christ, from grace lutheran lafayette, indiana ….we are forever in the history books:)<\/p>\n

this church, st. saviour’s angelican church was built in 1902 in carcoss, just south east of whitehorse<\/p>\n

in whitehorse we had to pay to tour Christ church cathedral\u00a0 “the old log church”, this church was built in 1900, this was part of the church of england in canada<\/p>\n

i think these guys missed their calling!!!<\/p>\n

then on to beaver creek, (the most westerly community in canada) where we visited Our lady of grace catholic church, this church had a room, with kitchen and bed set up behind the altar for the traveling pastors…<\/p>\n

steph signed the book, notice the linoleum floor, made to look like wood:)<\/p>\n

this was right across the street from where we camped for the night, it had originally been a quounset hut… used when they built the alaskan highway<\/p>\n

mike and i stopped at Dot lake community church when we dropped steph and elden off to fish some, we went down the road a bit and found this church it was in the community of Dot lake, the only thing we saw was a church and the house behind it, this little establishment was orginally the site where the alaskan highway construction crews set up.<\/p>\n

it was built by the side of the lake<\/p>\n

we found a lutheran hymnal in the front pew!!! mike felt compelled to use it:)<\/p>\n

this was the bathroom for the church:) pretty fancy nice curtain in the window!<\/p>\n

this church St. Marks mission was in nenana, this town was a construction base for the alaskan railroad.<\/p>\n

the altar cloth in this church was beautiful, it was all hand beaded.<\/p>\n

finally this was our church we attended, sunday on the road!!! we had internet sometimes with mikes sprint card and we listened to shel and james’ pastors sermon, thanks pastor ben, sorry for the drink of choice while listening!!!<\/p>\n
