Sacrifice<\/strong> (from a Middle English<\/a> verb meaning “to make sacred”, from Old French<\/a>, from Latin<\/a> sacrificium<\/em>: sacr<\/em>, “sacred” + facere<\/em>, “to make”) is commonly known as the practice of offering food, objects (typically valuables), or the lives of animals or people to the gods<\/a> as an act of propitiation<\/a> or worship<\/a>. The term is also used metaphorically<\/a> to describe selfless good deeds for others or a short term loss in return for a greater gain, such as in a game of chess<\/a>. Recently it has also come into use as meaning doing without something or giving something up.<\/em><\/p>\n

so listening to a preacher the other day and his definition of sacrifice was giving up something that you need<\/span>, that is a true sacrifice……… wow if you look at it like that, it puts a whole different perspective on it. my nachos i definately did not need, but really how many things in this life do you really need……………..honestly need!!! when someone says sacrifice, it is going to make me look at it in a whole new way now.<\/p>\n
