so today, i started\u00a0 a new job at the purdue wiley dining hall!<\/p>\n

let me start from the beginning, while talking with our thrivent guy, he informed mike he needed to put me to work! i do not have enough points to collect social security, so it just makes sense i work on that:) since mike is not here during the week, it gives me something to do… i totally loved that i was able to stay home and raise my family as my career, and i wouldn’t change anything about my first 37 years of marriage:) i really mean that. God blessed us so richly and for that i am forever thankful…. onto my story… sitting at church during fellowship hour one sunday morning, one of my friends (who happens to be the head of the wiley dining court at purdue) said “so you want a job?” at that time she had no clue of our conversations about me needing to find a job and i really thought i sat at her table for a reason that morning!
\nshe said come talk to me after you get back from minnesota, can i say i am pretty excited about this job:) finding a job that you have off the summer, holidays and breaks. i am working for the breakfast shift 5:30-10:30 monday through friday, with weekends off…everyone else works a rotating shift with having to work every 3rd weekend, it sure helps to know the girl who runs the whole place:) i cooked eggs today, cut tomatoes, shredded chicken, it will be different everyday, i am going to be a floater and help where they need help. the time flew by this morning, i think i won’t mind this at all:)<\/p>\n
