{"id":6683,"date":"2012-09-02T13:56:38","date_gmt":"2012-09-02T18:56:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mom.vandercar.net\/?p=6683"},"modified":"2012-09-02T14:04:42","modified_gmt":"2012-09-02T19:04:42","slug":"be-still-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mom.vandercar.net\/?p=6683","title":{"rendered":"BE STILL&#8230;.AGAIN"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>sitting here, not content, and wondering what is next? our  church is calling a DCE, and i have mixed feelings in how the whole  process is playing out\u2026<\/p>\n<p>these are\u00a0 just my feelings and opinion, but i need to get it out:) our  church, ever since we have been there, has struggled to have a vibrant  active youth group\u2026 i can\u2019t imagine being in a church like this,&#8230;with  myself\u00a0 having young kids. we were blessed&#8230; in that ,when our kids were  of the age\u2026 they needed to be in a youth group, we were in a church, that  had an active youth group\u2026. i just want for all the kids to be able to  have this same experience!<\/p>\n<p>but for whatever reason, this is not the case at Grace\u2026\u00a0 we have a  call committee that is coming to us next week, with a recommendation,  from things i\u2019ve heard, the recommendation they are giving us is not,  what their focus started as, after hearing a comment from one of the  members of the call committee\u2026..<\/p>\n<p>youth is not one of his strong points\u2026. i freaked to say the least!<\/p>\n<p>really why are we going down this road? and now i question God, are  we supposed to trust they have done their work, and go and support their  choice?\u00a0 i really don\u2019t know if i have the energy to question them, and  stand up and voice my concerns, all i want in the end&#8230; is for the youth  of this church, to be able to bond and experience an awesome youth  program, and grow together in their faith, and in their love for the Lord  and each other:)<\/p>\n<p>then i go back to feeling like, why bother, which i know in my heart that is not the way to feel, but we will most likely&#8230; not be there to see how this all plays out anyway, so why should i be so concerned, and worried when it seems like the ones that it is going to effect the most, are not concerned????<\/p>\n<p>Lord please give us the direction we need at Grace and be in the decision that is going to be made<\/p>\n<p>AMEN<\/p>\n<p>P.S.
