i just found this note i wrote for mom last year, i read it to her, when i gave it to her, because she was not able to read. my mom really was a true disciple and left a legacy of faith to her future generations… one of her last days i thanked her for this again, i said “mom thank you for everything you did for us” and her reply was “i didn’t do enough”, i assured her she did….. i know where she was coming from with that comment, she was referring to the things of this world, i assured her, that wasn’t what i wanted, she gave me what i wanted and needed and nothing more…we enjoyed bible study together, and she said to me….you have wisdom! that coming from a mom who was so full of wisdom, meant a lot to me:)

here is my love letter to my mom

thank you mom,
for giving me life! for teaching me how to laugh, and teaching me that there is no shame in tears.
thank you for teaching me… that to live in this world really does require faith, a faith that you have passed on to me, that we can pass on to the next generations.
I love that you always made life for us an adventure and i will so miss your laugh!
when i think of you, i think of your hands always folded. i love that i got to share in bible study with you these past years.
mom, i love you for who you are, and who you have made me.
