GOOD BYE MINNESTOTA:(

this post is from the road, the miles are flying by………………. should be back in illinois tonight, staying in a hotel near burr ridge for the night, he has to stop at his office in the morning………work does sometimes get in the way of our travels:)

just said goodbye to these two, goodbyes are always hard, but we get to see them in memorial day weekend:)

just 2 nights ago we were driving past this sign

joshua and adrienne took us to the headquarters of youth encounter, got to see where they spend their time, here is UA”s space

this ministry does need your prayers, it has had to cut positions, in the wake of the economy…for now ua and adrienne have positions:) i know for them they put it all in God’s hands and await the next chapter of what God’s plan in their lives is…..it is awesome to witness their faith…………..and i have to say i am patiently awaiting for the time we will welcome another baby:) …i know i know …not now!!!!

we packed quite a bit into our weekend, it went by fast, we went to the st paul cathedral, really awesome architecture, a wedding was going on, this place took a half of a century to build! the cornerstone was put in in 1907 and it was completed and dedicated in 1958

that was saturday…..

friday night we had ate at barleys brewhouse and then home for games:)

saturday night we had time listening to record albums we had bought at a resale shop:) sing along with mitch miller, oak ridge boys, statler brothers, herb alpert and the tijuana brass!the best dollar and 40 cents spent!!!

i’m having trouble remembering when we did what, i stayed off the computer while we were visiting:)

last night adrienne cooked for us and i must say joshua is one lucky boy:) adrienne is an awesome cook:) maybe she can put some meat on his bones!!! last night we got the movie “public enemy” the one that mentions mike’s grandpa bryant. i do have to say we were kind of disappointed, i guess with all the build up we expected more??

ua and mike …. i love that all their artwork in their apartment is from the countries they have traveled to and the pictures they have taken

this morning church at bethel, st. paul…joshua played with three other guys, we enjoyed this very much, not your average praise band music, much more reverent, singing hymns with guitars and djembe………i like:)

their pastor david seabaugh went to st. louis seminary and knows shel’s pastor ben! it is a small lutheran circle we are a part of!!!

after church we went to mickey’s diner for breakfast in downtown st. paul  a diner that has operated 365 days a year for 70 years!

it’s wierd to see this little diner next to skyscrapers, it reminds me of the book we used to read to the kids, the country house, that ended up being in the middle of the city…because the city came to it!!!!
