we went down friday night and spent the night and worked all day saturday, dustin and corrine came and david had arranged for some guys from church and camp to come and help, a lot accomplished in one day!
caught ya:)
piles of wood and debri from the demolishion,
started putting in new joists and floors! like whit said, you are going to end up with a new house and it will be! they didn’t save anything but studs in some of the walls, other walls taken out and moved, toilet still on the island! better than an outhouse… you just have to ask all the workers to clear out, when needed:)
they changed the whole floor plan, these walls are gone now and the living room will be the size of the 2 rooms combined
they made the doorway into the dining room wider,(the toilet sits where the dining room will be and off to the right is the kitchen
the ceilings taken out and lowered a bit to make more room upstairs for the 2 bedrooms and a bath, i think the ceilings were 9 foot?
this looks into the utility and laundry room, there will be a pocket door in that wide doorway
one of the garages used for cutting the wood and the lunch and dinner table:)
uncle brian and dav in the back getting the utility room ready for new electrical
i pressure washed that garage siding and the back of the house too and planted a bag of daffodil bulbs, i got from a lady at church:)
i love old farmsteads….i don’t know if i said it before on here, but you really can’t re-create a piece of property like what they got:) it is beautiful.
