something i have looked forward to every spring, it’s hard to believe we have owned this house going on 12 years now… i wish when we leave here i could take this bush with me,

i wonder what year it was planted? this house was built in 1903 and was the original house in this whole area….always loved sitting on the swing on the porch even with the traffic noise! but i do look forward to getting back out in the country:)

we have the abstract for this place and i loved reading that at one time it sold to another family member for $1.00 and all your love! this house might be old and for sure crooked! but oh the memories it holds, sweet memories, love stories, relationships… some that survived, others that didn’t! how many kids lived here and how many boys stayed in the front bedroom with it’s purple circa 70’s wallpaper…we will leave it for the next people to do with it what they want:)

i found this old iron bed at a resale shop down here and only paid 25.00! what a deal… (amazing what a little sanding and painting will do) …i had bought the old light for the bed a few years ago at one of the antique shops down here:)  and the night stand came from another of the antique shops downtown lafayette…we took down the crib and the bunk beds, and used the mattress we brought back from minnesota:)

not sure when we will be moving on, but i am ready and look forward to where God would have us be, looking forward to finding a small traditional church family, something i have dearly missed, i wouldn’t change that God placed us at Grace for a time, but i do feel he knows we need to be fed and knows how much we are sacrificing by not being somewhere we can be a part of our historical liturgy, i think i’ll even pray for God to find me a “red hymnal” congregation:) i needed to be born in a different era:)… want to worship and don’t need to be entertained!
